Inspiration: a person, place, experience, etc., that makes someone want to do or create something.

On FB and IG I get comments all the time on my gym post pics, and I love it. It's crazy to me that people are even paying attention to the PicStich that I post after spending 2 hours in the gym, sweaty and proud of myself for accomplishing yet another killer workout. Those likes and comments keep me honest. They keep me dedicated to my journey and moving forward.
That being said, over the past few weeks the word inspiration has been posed to me amid those comments, and from family and friends. For some reason the sheer thought of it made me nervous.
Nervous, you might ask? Yea.
Its hard enough trying to inspire myself everyday to stick with it and keep it moving. But to create a sense of change in someone else, to make them want to do more, and at least plant that seed of moving toward change...That's huge. Its a level of pressure and expectation that is added to the personal responsibility "load" that I am already carrying.
"Why would people look up to me?"
Have you ever asked yourself that question? Well I have. And I have come to realize the answer of that question is: why not?!?! Why not have some one look up to what you are doing? If my sweaty gym posts, or 15 seconds clips of me pedaling for my life on the elliptical inspires some one else to want to do the same, then shit let's do it!
When people watch you, it can be scary. It can be uncomfortable, and that's ok. The old adage says, "Nothing in life, that's worth having, is easy." I have to come to accept that, and I know that work is necessary. I am going to have to #DoMore every day to reach my journey, and that too is ok.
So as freaked out as I may be by the thought of being someone else's inspiration, go ahead and sign me up. What I have realized thus far, is that I had someone that inspired me too.
So dont be afraid to take a step and #DoMore.
